How do I book clubs on Golfstiks?

Golfstiks provides golfers with a platform to share their clubs and also provides players with a variety of options to find their favorite golf clubs to play with wherever they go. When you book clubs on Golfstiks, you’re making arrangements to use someone’s golf clubs. Golfstiks is a social community that heavily depends on the trust of its members and we are optimistic that as you join, you will be part of this trusted circle of our golfing community.

  • Register:You must sign-up and complete a profile before you can submit a booking request.
  • Search:With thousands of listings across the country, you can search to find your favorite brand, make, model and other specifications within acceptable distance of your destination.
  • Book:Once you’ve found your perfect club, you may submit a booking request to the owner and be sure to include the dates you intend to use the clubs on. The owner will receive an email and a text message for your booking request. Owners have 12 hours to accept your request. When your request is accepted, you will also receive both an email and a text message to confirm the booking. Your credit card will be charged with the entire amount as soon as the booking is confirmed. The money will be held in escrow until the service is delivered.

When am I charged for a booking?

Your payment is collected once the club owner accepts your booking request. Your credit card will be charged for the entire amount after the booking request is accepted and held in escrow until the service is delivered. This hold helps both parties to make sure everything is OK and allows for easy refund in case of cancellations.


What methods of payment does Golfstiks accept?

We accept any major credit card, including American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and debit cards tied to a checking account.


How do I cancel my reservation?

If you cancel, your refund will be determined by Golfstiks cancellation policy.

o cancel a booking request before the service is delivered:
Go to Dashboard -> My Rentals.

Next to the booking you want to cancel, click Cancel. An email and a text message will be sent to both the owner and yourself confirming the cancellation.


Do I get a full refund if I cancel?

If you cancel your booking before service delivery, your refund will be determined by our cancellation policy. You must cancel your booking request at least 24 hours before scheduled service delivery time to get a full refund.


How do I get my rented clubs?

The clubs will be delivered to your hotel or golf course based on your agreement with the owner. You also need to arrange with your hotel concierge or golf course representative to expect delivery from the owner.


What happens if the owner cancels my reservation?

If your booking is canceled by the owner, you will receive an email and a text message notifying you of the cancellation. In this event, you will get a full refund of your payment since the owner does not get any payment until service is delivered.


What is Golfstiks’ refund policy?

  • To get a full refund, players must cancel the booking request at least 24hrs before scheduled service delivery time.
  • If the player cancels a booking request inside 24 hours of service delivery, no refund will be provided
  • If the owner cancels a booking request, the player gets full refund of payment
  • If the owner does not deliver the service, the player gets full refund of payment

How do I receive and send messages?

The messaging chain will start when a player submits a booking request. The owner will receive a notification on their email and phone. On any booking request, players or owners can send and receive messages only through the Golfstiks portal using messaging provision under Booking Requests (for owners) and My Rentals (for players). Players and owners will receive both emails and text messages.


How do I know if a listing is available?

If you enter your destination address, all listings that appear within 25 miles should be available for booking. The clubs that have already been booked by someone else on the dates of your choice will be greyed out and unavailable to select.


What happens if I damage or lose a club?

We hold valid credit card of all the players on file. In case of loss, damage or failure to return, we encourage both parties to agree on a resolution. Once a resolution has been reached, Golfstiks will charge the player’s credit card on file and transfer funds to the owner.

Why should I be an owner?

Golfstiks is a platform that enables people to make significant income by building their own small business. If you already own a club rental shop, you can increase its revenue by creating awareness and convenience and generating new traffic to your service. It also allows individuals to post their clubs in exchange of payment that could greatly help in reducing some of their golfing expenses or even buy new clubs. What do I need to be an owner?

To be a Golfstiks owner you must:

  • Have golf clubs in good condition (post at least one golf club set on the portal)
  • Have an email address
  • Have a smartphone
  • Have a checking bank account with a financial institution in the U.S.

Why do you need my bank account number?

We need your checking bank account number to transfer funds after you have delivered the service to your customers.


Does it cost money to become an owner?

It does not cost you any money to become a Golfstiks owner.


How do I set my listing price?

The price you charge for your listing is completely up to you. However, to be competitive you may search for comparable listings of similar clubs in your area to get an idea of market price.


When do I get paid?

The player’s credit card will be charged when you accept a booking request, however, we will hold funds until the service is delivered. After service delivery, we will release the funds to your bank account on file.


What is Golfstiks’ commission?

To keep Golfstiks running smoothly, we charge a commission of 10% from the listed rental fee.


Owner is late with delivery

We're sorry to hear that your clubs are late. If you haven't already, try contacting the owner by going to the messaging function found on the website or app and send a message requesting an update. Alternatively, you can call the owner by selecting the phone icon in your mobile application. If you are still unable to get in touch with the owner, you can reach us at 800-000-1111. What happens if my clubs are damaged, lost or not returned?

We hold the valid credit card numbers of all players on file. In case of loss, damage or failure to return, we encourage both parties to agree on a resolution. Once a resolution has been reached, Golfstiks will charge the player’s credit card and transfer the funds to the owner. If the player does not respond the owner within a week, Golfstiks will attempt to reach the player and get a resolution. If we cannot contact the player within another 7 days, Golfstiks will charge the owner’s claim on the player’s credit card on file.


How do I report a problem?

If you're having an issue that can't be resolved by you and the player, please let us know by contacting Support.


How do ratings and reviews work?

Golfstiks is committed to creating and maintaining a trusted community platform that works for both players and owner. We offer our players and owners a means to give constructive and honest feedback that would instill trust and improve the quality of service. Both players and owners are therefore encouraged to leave honest and constructive feedback. We track these feedbacks which give us information we use to eliminate untrusted individuals from the community. We ask that everyone communicate professionally and only leave factual and honest reviews. The Golfstiks Trust and Safety Team reserves the right to remove reviews if they violate our Terms of Service.
